I can't believe I haven't posted in a year. So much has happened. So much. I'll try to sum it up so I can move on and talk about the excitement that brings me to LJ this random sabbath day.
-Gwen is 15 months old! She started walking at 13 months, loves her brothers, babbles up a storm, has the biggest attitude of any baby I've ever met, knows exactly what she wants at all times, looks JUST like me when I was younger :
(Which one is me??!?!) and is a huge blessing in our lives.
-Caleb is 3! He is an amazing little man. He is constantly telling us how much he loves us by saying "mom, I love you so much" with his cute little voice. He is very independent and working on potty training (he does great until you put big boy underwear on, then it's like he forgets how to pee in a toilet). He loves to wrestle and loves iron man, toy story and phineas and ferb. He's a huge blessing to our family.
-Elliot will be 5 in 3 weeks! Where did the time go??!! He is way too big, I miss my little boy. Elliot loves to sing and dance. He is extremely smart and remembers things from over a year ago. We aren't going to be putting him in kindergarten this year, we want to make sure he's 100% ready and his preschool teacher confirmed our concerns about his social development. He is very smart and academically but he just isn't interested in participating in group activities etc. He is a great helper and a huge blessing in our lives.
-other huge news: we're opening a charter school! Craziness? Yes. Definitely yes. It will be a k-8 school with the academics being taught through an arts integrated curriculum. We will also have a strong leadership component of the school. It will be opening in the fall of 2014 and will be called Foothill Leadership Academy (FoothillLeadership.com). It is all extremely exciting.
-the biggest news? My amazing husband is getting baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is huge. Amazing. A true answer to my prayers (for the last 14 years). This is a completely new development, less than 24 hours old. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it, but it is amazing. I feel so incredibly blessed. He is hoping to be baptized in 2 weeks, on Fathers Day. I am so thrilled. Words cannot describe.
So, that's the last year in a very short nutshell. Hopefully I will write more often, now that I have the LJ app on my iPad :)
